This document is best read with Notepad. The purpose of this document is to state the names of WINUI authors, disclaimers, and licence conditions. WINUI is a set of codes which add a 'front-end' facility to the MAME emulator (and certain derivatives). It is not maintained or supported by MAMEdev, but by the efforts of dedicated individuals. The files are normally found in the src/osd/winui folder(s) of a source package. WINUI was originally written around 1997, and has had contributions from many authors, both known and unknown. Due to the lack of historical records, it is unknown who exactly contributed what. Here is the list of known authors, and the known licence for them: Michael Soderstrom BSD-3-Clause Christopher Kirmse BSD-3-Clause MSH (Mike Haaland) BSD-3-Clause Captain Pugwash BSD-3-Clause Jeff Miller BSD-3-Clause Robbbert BSD-3-Clause etabeta (Fabio Priuli) BSD-3-Clause Bletch (Nathan Woods) BSD-3-Clause Mamesick BSD-3-Clause Copyright exists from 1997 to the present day, and beyond. The project is hereby covered by the GPL, with the following additional provisos. 1. Original authors may lay claim to their particular works. 2. Original authors may specify a different licence. 3. Redistributions must include this file, and the file BSD3Clause.txt . 4. In other words, we (authors, contributors, repository holders, official websites) are not liable or responsible for anything. 5. Usage: WINUI can be modified and used as you see fit, including commercially, however you cannot claim ownership or copyright of the works. See BSD3Clause.txt for more information. 6. If you are unable to comply with these conditions, you must delete any winui code in your possession, along with any binaries that contain winui code, immediately. Written by Robbbert on 2015-06-03.
